What is a Yowie

Yowie is the Australian name for their “Big Foot”

I passed my first certification with NAPWDA

Yowie the search dog got his name from my son’s first.

When he was a puppy He registered his name as “Magna Puda” (probably not spelled correctly) for Big foot. We called him Jack.

Our next dog was Yeti a wonderful sweet Bloodhound. When he was 8 months old and off to a good start at tracking we found out he had major birth defects in his hips and he rapidly went down hill as he grew.

We then found Yowie another Lab that his grandfather was Jacks father. Yowie’s father came from a large American bread line of hunting Labs in Alabama. His mother’s line on Jack’s side is a big block head English bread line. (Jack has been a slim 95 lbs. most of his life and still likes to play frisbee at 13.

Yowie is a skinny 105 lbs. standing 2″ taller than Jack.

Up date his last vet check up hew was 118 lbs.

He just turned 2

Up date!!

Just passed his third birthday and his third NAPWADA HRD certification!
